Bio
Jesse has a Master of
Arts in Psychology, Counseling emphasis (2003) and is a Licensed Mental Health
Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Washington. They have worked in various
contexts of the mental health field including behavioral health hospitals, community
mental health, and jails serving individuals involved in the criminal justice
system. Jesse currently works in a systems coordination role
in a local (County) government in jail diversion - programs for
individuals who become involved in the criminal punishment system due to their
mental health conditions, addiction issues, homelessness and poverty.
As co-founder/co-host for Seattle-based Gendercast, they want to participate in building a platform for gender
community & discussion of social and systemic conditions affecting
marginalized people, including but not limited to trans* identity and gender oppression.
